Why, hello there!
I’m Rachel Roth, a singer, actor, and wiggler based in Philadelphia/NYC. Born and raised in the heart of Philly, I found my voice screaming for my fighting Phils and my Birds (GO BIRDS!). I actually grew up without theatre in my life, but was drawn, separately, to music and stories, and was lucky enough to have a dad with excellent music taste. All the pieces were there but didn’t connect until I reached high school, when everything clicked, and I’ve never looked back since!

I recently graduated from The Hartt School of Music with a BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in Creative Writing with Honors! Over the course of four years, I had the wonderful opportunity to perform at theatres along the East Coast. In the summer of 2023, I spent time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire at Jean’s Playhouse, which began my streak of portraying my first comedic divas: Lucinda in Into the Woods and Enid Hoops in Legally Blonde. The following summer, in 2024, I was in Woodstock, New York, at Woodstock Playhouse where I continued playing my comedic divas as Ms. Evangeline Harcourt in Anything Goes, as well as Tammy in Escape to Margaritaville, returning to my pop/rock roots. This was also my first summer doing children’s theatre and serving as the Children’s Vocal Captain for our production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where my passion for educating young audiences and performers began. In the fall of 2024, I had the honor of portraying Bea in Something Rotten at Hartt with my dream team and cast, an experience that was not only artistically fulfilling but filled my heart with so much love. In the winter of 2025, I had the privilege of working at Goodspeed’s Festival of New Musicals, workshopping Carol of the Bells, written by Nevada Lazano, music directed by Ian Chan, and directed by Hannah Ryan. Inspired by new work, for my Honors Capstone project I wrote and directed my own piece, which I showcased in front of an audience for the first time. I plan to continue sharing my original work in the future, thanks to the overwhelming support I received throughout the process!
I spent my last month before Graduation performing at Playhouse on Park in their TYA production of Don't Let the Pigeon... Drive the Bus! as the Little Old Lady. After Graduation I quickly after began rehearsals for The Bridges of Madison County at The New London Barn Playhouse, I left my fringe and my heart in that Barn. Immediately after I spent the rest of my summer just North, back in the White Mountains at Jeans Playhouse, performing in rep as Marty in Grease, and Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys. In addition to performing, I also served as Camp Director for the young performer's Theatre camp "Broadway Bound" where I continued my passion for teaching young performers. Since then, I have started teaching young performers voice and acting, for booking inquiries please contact me through this form!

When I'm not performing, you will find me touching grass or doing aquatic activities! I love all things ocean-related, growing up a competitive swimmer; I love scuba diving, snorkeling, free diving, sailing, and more, give me googles and a body of water and I'll be happy as a clam!
And for the record, to my right is a theatre kid, whether she knew it or not, it was her destiny :)
